Aim to be in Kasese by Thursday night. That leaves Friday clear for a gentle shakeout run, collecting your kit at the expo, resting your legs, and taking in the town and the mountains before the work begins on Saturday.
If you're running the 42km, note that your start is at the Equator in Kikorongo — a different point from the shorter distances, which start in Kasese town.
This is a World Athletics Label race, and it runs on time. Read the race brief and program before you arrive, so you know your start point, your shuttle time, and where you need to be and when.
Road closures mean shuttles run on a fixed schedule on race morning — if you miss it, you miss your start.
Come prepared, come on time, and let the day carry you.
