The Rwenzori Marathon takes place in Kasese, in Western Uganda.
Kasese is an 8 hour drive from Kampala or Entebbe (the international airport). Alternatively, it is a 6 hour drive (excluding border crossing time) from Kigali to Kasese. As you plan for your trip, keep in mind this travel time.
The start for the 21 km, 10 km and 5 km is in Kasese town center. The 42 km will start at the Equator. We will be providing buses from Kasese town to the Equator for runners.
The arena and finish area is on Stanley Street in Kasese town. We recommend you stay within an hour of Kasese town as the race starts just before sunrise.
